We had a wonderful time with you, great method of teaching, good music and very friendly. We also had great company throughout the break which really helps make the break that bit more special.

Thank you for hosting this week’s dance break. Heather and I greatly enjoyed the dancing and the lessons. The jive lesson was especially good for me (Billy) as I’ve been struggling for ages with the steps and timing, and the way you showed me how to do it is working wonders. It isn’t as difficult as it seemed, so I’m looking forward to showing off my new-found prowess at next week’s local tea-dances. We aim to come again to a break next year.

What a fabulous time we had again at this dance break. Ian and Penny are great teachers, they break each dance down slowly so you can learn the steps and then we practiced alot! Its a great fun way to learn whilst enjoying a lovely hotel and food in great company.

What a fantastic week learning sequence dancing. Penny and Ian are the perfect hosts and both go out of their way to make you feel part of the group and comfortable. A wonderful social break filled with dancing and laughter.

We really enjoyed our recent dance break with Ian and Penny. It was great to learn some new sequences that we can hopefully dance in the local social dances we go to, and it was fun too.

Having been avid sequence dancers before the pandemic and not really getting back into it before attending Ian & Penny’s November 2025 break, we found this to be a great way to get our “muscle memory” back. We loved the fun approach to the teaching and the whole break was well planned with respect to the balance of lessons, evening practices, and downtime. It was more of the same (but with a different selection of dances) for the the follow up in August 2025 which we just attended. Penny and Ian are fantastic teachers and plan a great break. Would highly recommend.

Our second sequence dance holiday with Ian and Penny. I cannot imagine that anyone else could teach Sequence dances more effectively. They demonstrate the whole thing then break each dance into easy segments, this helps you built up easily. The steps are called out, helping you bed them in. Each night you practice what you have learned that day and earlier in the week. A good hotel and the whole holiday was super fun with a lot of great like minded people. We have now done 2 plus a dance weekend and will go again.

Our recent Caribbean Cruise on the P&O Britannia was made all the more enjoyable by meeting up with Ian & Penny again for dance lessons although our routines were limited this time due to my wife Anita having broken her wrist recently!
We’re looking forward to the next cruise & more dance lessons the highlight of the cruise!

Tango and Tinsel 2024 was our first break with 'Dance Breaks with Ian & Penny', which was fantastic, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and New Years Eve all in one weekend! Lots of games, dancing and fun! So much so, we decided to book for a sequence break with 'Dance Classes with Ian & Penny'. We learned 8 new dances, great tuition and lots of practice and lots of fun. New friends made. Have now booked the 60s party break for November 2026. 🕺🏻💃🏼🥳🎉

Thank you Ian & Penny. It was a lovely dance break with lovely dancers in our favourite hotel. We loved the way you teach, it was fun and informative, and we can believe how you got everyone through all eight sequence dances, and that we could all dance them in the evening. We have booked to come on another dance break August 2026.

What a fabulous four days! This was our 1st dance break with Ian & Penny and we were not disappointed. Ian & Penny were very welcoming & their teaching skills made it great fun to learn the dances along with a great crowd of other friendly dancers. The hotel was very nice and the food was excellent.

We have just returned from a very enjoyable and fun dance break where we learned 8 sequence dances with Ian and Penny. Every aspect of the break was well planned and organised. They are great teachers who give clear instructions on each part of a dance and they take the time to make sure everyone knows what to do whatever their ability. We have booked 2 more of their breaks for next year!
